Our Purpose
To provide a safe haven for America’s iconic wild equines, who have been removed from their natural, free-ranging habitats by government policies.
Through compassionate care, holistic training, and dedicated stewardship, we ensure these majestic animals are nurtured in an environment that honors their inherent spirit and dignity.
We are committed to raising awareness, educating the public about wild mustang & burro advocacy, and fostering a deeper understanding of equine culture. We also welcome domestic equines in need of care, retraining, and a forever home.
By promoting respect for our American Mustangs and all equines, as symbols of freedom and strength, we strive to ensure their legacy endures and their contributions to our shared heritage are celebrated.
The Mustang Way Rescue & Education serves as stewards of equine well-being by fostering awareness and education for both humans and horses. We strive to align wild mustangs and all equines in need with forever homes, creating successful horse-human partnerships that honor their spirit and legacy.
One of our goals is to teach leadership by drawing on the principles of herd language and equine culture, focusing on consensual leadership skills that inspire cooperation and trust. Through equine experiential learning, designed to empower youth, adolescents, and others to embrace non-predatory ways of thinking and grow through the wisdom and dynamics of the herd.
We also aim to create a sacred space for first responders, care takers, law enforcement, and teachers to enjoy the tranquility of the horses to realign and rejuvenate themselves.

A Journey in Connection
Connect with horses and burros through trust-based interactions, learning leadership, communication, and mindfulness. This transformative program fosters personal growth and strengthens relationships with these incredible animals in a peaceful, nature-filled setting.
Mustangs & Youth
Empowering youth through the wisdom of mustangs—this program fosters emotional balance, confidence, and leadership skills by teaching trust-based communication and non-predatory ways of thinking. Through hands-on experiences with horses, participants learn valuable life lessons in cooperation, resilience, and self-awareness.
